Charlie Kirk Vigil | Glens Falls, NY | 9.15.25
Tonight, people of the community gathered in City Park for a candlelight vigil held for Charlie Kirk. By dusk, the park was crowded. Families stood close together, friends gathered in groups, and individuals found quiet spots among the crowd.
As night came on, the glow of candles spread across the lawn. Small flames flickered against the breeze, lifted high, or shielded in careful hands.
I don’t support the messages Kirk promoted, but I believe it’s important to document events like this. With Upstate Folk, my aim is to create a record of how communities gather - to show what happens in public spaces and to preserve these moments as part of the broader story of this region.
